I picked this up from Ulta for around $11. I had seen this featured on several Youtube videos, and was intrigued. Most seemed to rave about it, and I figured it wouldn't hurt to try-afterall my Too Faced primer is already $15. What if this one worked just as well for just a little bit less money?
The difference is that this is packaged in a jar, whereas most of the primers that I have used come in a tube. The way it's packaged means that the product also has a mousse consistency. I found this interesting. More on that later.
It is a soft, peachy color in the jar, but it blends out on the skin to an invisible finish. It does have a heavy silicone feel to it, but I can feel how smooth my skin feels after putting it on.
I swatched this on my hand as soon I got home and was immediately impressed on how it filled in all of the lines on the back of my hand and how soft and smooth it felt!
Truth be told, I was a little bit worried at first because I just barely touched the top and came back with a huge chunk of product! It just all sticks together, so it takes some scooping and sliding around to get the right amount of product onto your face. Also, because it's not in a tube, this might be a little bit unsanitary because you're always dipping into it.
The product also pills right away, so using your fingers is a must. If you don't use your fingers, you might not soften up and warm up the product enough on your face.
I do like the after effects though, and will continue to use this product. I have been storing it upside down though, just in case this dries out.
Have you tried this primer yet? What are your thoughts?
Love,
I don't really wear makeup at all...I always have such a hard time with foundations - finding the right one to match my skin, never tried primers or bb creams. I guess because I've never really worn makeup, I have no idea what they do or what they are good for. I love reading your reviews though, they're very in-depth.
