Lorac Pro-Smokey Eyes

Hi dolls.  Today I wanted to show you a smokey eye look that I have been creating over and over again, using exclusively Lorac Pro Palette colors.

It is gorgeous, and it's not too over the top because I leave the lower lid clean and free of any color.

I first take Mauve and use that as my all over lid color.  Then, I take Sable and work that into the outer v and work it towards the crease.
Then, using Pewter, I add that to the inner corner and blend that towards the outer v.  Cream is the higlight color.  Then, for an added pop of color and contrast, I tap a little bit of Garnet right onto the center of the lid.
Then, I added black liquid liner and false lashes from Forever21.  I love this look and I have been doing it all of May on the weekends.

Yes, I am still obsessed with my Lorac palette, and have probably shown it more love than both my Naked palettes combined.

My Christmas Look-MAC Shadows and Red Lips

Hi dolls.  Hope that you are all doing well today.  Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all, whereever you might be.
This is what I am going to be wearing for my Christmas Day festivities. I am doing a simple brown smokey eye, and letting my signature red lips be the star of the show.  And no, I didn't dye my hair, that's just a little computer editing. :)
On my eyes, I used all MAC colors.  The all over lid color that I used was Patina, and then I blended that out up into my brow with Rice Paper.  To darken the color towards the lashes, I first lined my eyes with my Prestige eye liner in dark brown and used my finger to smudge it out.  To set that liner, I used MAC's Show Stopper, a dark brown matte shadow.
I then added my usual black liquid liner from Wet 'n Wild and false lashes from Essence.
I then took my NYX jumbo liner in Black Bean and used that for my waterline and lower lash line.  To set that liner, I used a little bit of Show Stopper on the bottom lash line with a pencil brush.
For the bright and bold red lips, I used my L'Oreal Infallible Lip Color in Beyonce Red.  I picked this up from Ulta because Judy, from It'sJudyTime loves this red lip colorShe also mentioned how long lasting it is, and you know me, I love me a good red lip.
It does feel a bit dry on the lips, but the clear lip balm included with the set does a good job at keeping your lips feeling moisturized.  I wore this lipstick out for a night and I can't say that I looove it but it's nice if you are going to be out for a bit and want a bold lip color that won't budge.  I won't say much more about it, because a full review will be up later this week.
What are your plans for the holidays?  Stay warm and be safe, dear readers.

Love,

Lancome-Sexy Eye Shadow Look

Hi dolls.  Snowed in today, which meant that I had all day to play around with my makeup.
Here is the look that I created today:
I used my Lancome palette to create this look:
This was super easy to do and it really took no time at all.  I tried to take pictures as I went along to do a tutorial, but most of the pictures turned out fuzzy.  Fail.
I just took the shimmery champagne color and used that in the inner corner.  Then, the peach shade went on over the middle of the lid and the brown and black colors were used to shade the outer v.  I then did the usual black liquid liner and my Sonia Kashuk full glam lashes.
I ended up really liking this look.  It's super easy to do and it's so glamorous
On the lips, I ended up doing a neutral color to play up the eyes more.  First, I lined my lips with my NYX lip liner in Natural.
Then, I fished out my MAC Viva Glam Lady Gaga2 lipstick to complete the look.
This is a very, very nude color and it's hard for me to wear alone.  Wearing it over NYX lip liner in Natural warms it up for me and it makes for a perfect pout.
See what I mean?  SO much prettier instead of concealer lips.
I think this was such a lovely look, and definitely one that I will recreate for a special event.  I'm still playing around with a look that I can rock for New Year's Eve.

Love,

Going Faux

Hey dolls.  Here are a bunch of falsies that I have recently acquired:

I love the falsies from Love & Beauty that can be purchased at Forever21.  These come in a variety of lengths and styles and are super affordable at under $3 each.
Then I found these lashes from Revlon in a random clearance bin.  I've curious about lashes from Revlon, so these were a nice find.
Here are lashes I picked up from a vendor at the Hmong Village in St. Paul, MN.  I got these for $2 each.
I have heard a lot about Red Cherry lashes and these are my first pair.  I will report back on how I like them.

Then, I got two more packs of my favorite lashes from Sonia Kashuk.  I noticed that the price on these went up a little bit so I'm a little sad about that. :(
I don't wear false lashes every day because I would frankly look a little ridiculous.  I save these for the weekend or special occasions.  I try to take good care of them after wearing and always place them back in the packaging lest they get lost or destroyed.  I have amassed quite a collection, but I like how they really open up my small Asian eyes.

What are your thoughts on faux lashes?

October-Dollar Tree Finds

Hello friends.  Here is what I picked up from the Dollar Tree this month.
 1.  Max Factor's Vivid Impact Eyeshadow pigment duo
These are crazy pigmented.  Just check out that blue.  It's sick.  I am also giving away one of these in my 50 follower give-away.

2.  L.A. Girls Art Deco nail art stripers
I picked these up for my give away as well.  These are super affordable and they come in quite a range of colors.

3.  NYC waterproof lip liners
NYC liners in Bare and Blossom
NYC liner swatches:  Bare and Blossom
I picked these up in Bare and Blossom.  I have had a thing for lip liners lately.

4.  Maybelline Express Face & Body highlighters
Swatches:  Summer Glow & Pink Glow
These are cream based color sticks.  Very pretty.  Also including one of these in my 50 follower give-away.

5.  False lashes
I picked up five of these but also gave one away for my give-away.  I only got one of the criss-cross lashes because I usually don't like that style on me.  I prefer the more natural looking lashes.

That's it for this month's Dollar Tree finds.  What did you find this month?

Always,
