June-Dollar Tree Finds

Hi dolls.  No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth...I've just been pretty busy and have had no extra time to spare.

I managed to pop into the Dollar Tree to see what goodies I could find there though.  Here is what I came out with:

 Skinny Girl Tinted Moisturizer
I have never seen these before, and it seemed like it would be nice to take for my camping trip July 4th weekend.
It comes in a squeeze tube, with a brush attached to it.  The formula is very sheer when blended out.  I didn't notice any significant coverage either, so I would just use this as a sunscreen.

  Elf Shimmering Facial Whip
I have seen these around, but never tried them before.  I picked up Lilac Petal and figured that I would use this as a highlight color on the cheeks.
It's very shimmery as you can see, and a little goes a long way.  This was a pin sized amount, and it was easy to blend out.

Also, I got two shaving creams from Pure Silk.  I have never seen these at the Dollar Tree before, so I had to get them because I do use this brand quite often.

I also found some Sinful Colors polishes, but they were all colors that I already had, so I didn't get them.  That's all I picked up this month from the Dollar Tree.  What did you find?

DIY-Daisy Flower Headband

Hi dolls.  I have a simple DIY project today that I wanted to share:
I have really wanted one of those flower crowns, but they can be expensive to buy.  I made this headband myself, and found everything at the Dollar Tree.

All that you need is:
-Elastic headband
-Fake flowers of your choice
-Hot glue gun
-Scissors

1.  Pop the fake flowers off of the bouquets

2.  Snip off the green stem on the bottom of each flower.
(This makes it easier to glue later on.)

3.  Put a dab of hot glue onto the green stem.

4. Attach flower firmly to the headband.

5.  Keep gluing flowers to headband until covered.

I added some of the green leaves to fill in the spaces.  I also glued my flowers closer together because the headband is stretchy.

This is super cute, and easy to do.  I just upcycled my headband because this type never stays on my head anyways, when worn up vertically with a ponytail.

You can use different flowers for different effects too.  Have fun creating!

Under the Weather...

Hi dolls.  I have caught a bug and have been so sick, thus the lack of posts.  It took all weekend for me to muster up the energy to put up the Rainbow tag!

Summer school has been kicking my butt, and those kiddos just love to share their germs.  I'm trying to sleep this off, and take care of myself.
Regular postings should resume soon, I hope!  Have a great rest of the week guys.

Rainbow Tag!

Hi dolls.  So I finally have my pictures edited for this post.  I have been meaning to get it up all weekend, but better late than never right?
So for this tag, all that you have to do is pick out beauty related items that correspond to the colors of the rainbow!  This was fun and it required that I go through my stash and really think about what I wanted to include in this tag.

It also really appealed to me because I LOVE rainbow themed things.  My classroom was decorated with that theme in mind.  Case in point:

So when I saw that some of my favorite Youtubers had done this tag, I was right on board.   Anyways, without further ado...I give you the Rainbow Tag!
So, here I have them all lined up for you.  Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Teal, Blue, and Violet.

(I could have gone Blue, Indigo and then Violet, but I didn't really have anything Indigo!)
  Red
This was one of the very first red lipsticks that I bought from the drugstore.  It was really what spawned my love for red lipsticks in the first place.  I just fell in love with statement lip colors after experimenting with red lips.
Therefore, I had to include it in this post.  I think that a red lipstick is a must for every girl.  Just something about it when you put it on...you immediately walk a little bit taller and have a little strut to your step.  Even if you've never worn red before, I suggest just rocking it around the house.  I swear, you'll be sneaking peeks of yourself in every shiny object, and then you'll be addicted.  :)

Orange
I had to include my Real Techniques face brush for orange.  I love this brush so much, that I went back and bought another one.  Yes, I have two of them.  It's super soft and does the job, not to mention that it's really affordable.

You can find these brushes at Ulta, and usually on sale, for bogo half off.  This is one of my favorites from the brand, and I really recommend it if you are just starting out and building your brush collection.

Carmex
I am a Carmex junkie.  You will always find one of these in my purse.  They are just an essential for me.  I'm one of those people that have to have something on their lips, like all of the time-be it lip balm, lipstick, lipgloss etc.  I just need to have something on, and I literally have lip products stashed all over the house and my car so that I never have to go without.

Green
I have been trying out this Garnier cleanser in the mornings this week and so far I have been loving it!  It has a little brush head attached to the top, and so all you do is twist the brush head for a little bit of cleanser to come out.  Then you twist it back  to close off the flow of cleanser, and you just scrub your face with the brush and a little bit of water!

It's very gentle and it foams up quite easily.  The rubber brush head is very flexible and it does a good job of working up the foam and exfoliating your skin.
I think that it does a good job of waking up my skin in the mornings.  Usually, I just wash with a little bit of warm water and a microfiber washcloth.  This has upped my morning routines a bit more, especially because I have been applying lotions, serums and creams at night more often these last few months.

Light Blue
This is one of my go-to drugstore toners.  I find that it does a really good job of cleaning up any last bit of makeup that my cleanser might have missed after my shower.

I just dab a little bit onto a cotton pad and then swipe it all over my face and neck.  It's amazing.

I have also tried the other one from Clean & Clear, the Deep Cleaning Astringent, and that one is way too harsh for my skin.  My skin was literally peeling each time I used it, especially the skin on my fingers where it soaked through the cotton pad.  I am never repurchasing this one ever again.
Sometimes I will use my Proactive toner instead, but I am down to my last two bottles of that one.  The Clean & Clear one is more easily accessible and it's cheaper too.

Blue
So, I had to include a polish in this post, because I am a nail polish fanatic as well.  I decided to go with an OPI polish because truthfully, I do really like their polishes.  They always have beautiful colors, and new collections and their glitters are so awesome.

I don't wear a lot of blue nail polish anymore, so I had a hard time choosing a straight up blue from my stash, simply because I didn't have one.

This one that I am showing is OPI's Suzi Says Feng Shui from their Hong Kong collection.  I haven't even actually worn this color yet, because if I had, I would have shown it to you on the blog.  (Just goes to show how often I wear blue.)  But I promise that it will get some love soon.

 Purple
I talked a bit about this in my last Obsessed with post, so I'm not going to go into detail here.  This again, is just a small sample.  I really do like it so far, and I am seriously thinking about purchasing the actual product itself.

So, there you have all of my beauty products from the Rainbow Tag!
Let me know if you have any questions about any of the products that I have shown here.  I also tag all of you to do this tag if you liked it, and link me to your blog post down below if you end up doing it!

Always,

Sinful Colors-24/7

Hi dolls.  Here is what I put on my nails today...

I was feeling for something neon, and so I dug through my stash and found this bright pink from Sinful Colors.  I have already shown this on my blog, but I wanted to share this photo with you anyways.

I feel like I have to be a little bit more creative and come up with more mani's instead of straight up swatches because I haven't been buying a lot of polish lately...which is a good thing, because that means I'm actually using the polish that I have bought!

The accent finger is left over from my previous mani, but I added a coat of Sinful Colors new glitter bomb in Crystal Clear on top of that.

I just put two coats of 24/7 over a white base to help build up the opacity because neons can be so finicky.

Naked2-Bright Eyes

Hi dolls.  I had the day off today, so I had a chance to play with my makeup.  Here was my eye makeup for today:

I used colors from my Naked2 palette to create this bright, bronzy look.
I used Half Baked as the all over lid color, then buffed Busted lightly into the outer v and brought that up into the crease.  Then, I took Chopper and patted that right onto the center of the lid for a little more pop of color.  Using Foxy as the highlight color, I then blended everything together before adding liner and lashes.

The false lashes are from Forever21, and I am using L'Oreal's gel liner.
I just finished off the rest of the face with my usual routine, foundation, blush and bronzer.
The lipstick I'm wearing is Maybelline's Pink Please, which is now discontinued.
Overall, the eyes were the focus today.   I feel like I have been using the Lorac Pro exclusively for a while, so it was nice to switch it up today.

Have a great weekend loves!

White & Silver Nail Art

Hey dolls.  Here is what I put on my nails today:
I used my Sally Hansen Complete Manicure polish in Ivory Skull as the white creme, and Sally Hansen's Celeb City as the silver foil for this white and silver mani.

Then, I added glitter from my Color Club glitter in Platinum Record right on top of Celeb City.  After everything was sealed in with a thick coat of Seche Vite, I added rhinestones and caviar beads to accent each nail with the white creme.

It's pretty simple nail art that anyone can do, and it looks nice!  Idiot proof, even.  No nail glue needed.  I always add another coat of Seche Vite on top of the rhinestones just to keep everything in place.

Let me know what you think!  I'm working on the Rainbow tag, so that post should be up by the end of the week.

Always,
