Hey dolls. Here is what I am wearing today on my nails:
I kept this one in my untried drawer for quite a while, just because I wasn't too sure that I would like it. What a mistake.
It's a gorgeous red jelly packed with glitter that flashes red, orange and gold. It's what I would imagine Dorothy's ruby red slippers to be... *sigh* And it sparkles soo pretty in the sunlight!
Anyways, I finally wrapped up my school year on Friday. It was quite the year. I'm kind of relieved that it's over with actually. But on Monday, tomorrow, I start teaching summer school right away too-so I will be keeping busy!

Hi dolls. Today I have a jelly sandwich to show you guys. This is featuring OPI's Don't Touch my Tutu, from the NYC Ballet Soft Shades collection, released earlier this year.
Yeah, I know. I talked myself out of getting it, if you remember. But, then I found it on clearance at Ulta, and snapped it up without even thinking about it.
It was clearly meant to be, you guys.
Anyways, I got another shade from the collection too, but haven't swatched it yet. Don't Touch my Tutu is a sheer, milky jelly, much like Essie's Marshmallow. I think that Don't Touch my Tutu has a tad more pink it in though, than Marshmallow does. (See Marshmallow here and here on my blog.)
Aside from the nail polish gods putting me and this perfect little bottle together, I am kind of liking how sweet and innocent this mani looks.
It reminds me of the Sanrio Twin Stars characters. I just need a touch of blue in there somewhere to make it all come together...maybe another time...another mani...I'm sure if the polish gods want it to come true, they will make it happen.

Hi dolls. So, about a month ago, one of my long time readers and fellow makeup junkies gifted me It's A Trapeze!, along with other goodies. I guess my whining paid off. :)
This was the polish that I was lemming after from the Cirque Du Soleil collection. I even went so far as to try and recreate it with other polishes that I already had in my collection. See that fun jelly sandwich here.
I've been dying over milky white polishes with multi-colored glitter mixed into it. It's like a giant jawbreaker, but your nails! *squeal!*
I don't know, but it just speaks to the kid in me... I love how fun it is. I could buy the indie versions, but I don't know...I kind of squawk at some of the prices... So I thought that it was kind of cool that China Glaze came out with their own version.
Anyways, It's A Trapeze! is gorgeous. No fishing for glitter required. I wore this over my go-to white creme, Sally Hansen's White On, to create a more opaque look (and to selfishly save on the precious polish!) Then, I topped it off with Seche Vite 'cause I don't like bumpy glitter.
What do you think about Indie polishes and some of their pricing? Or is it just me?

Hello dolls. Today I wanted to show you a new polish that I got recently from Zoya. This is from their new Pixie Dust collection, in Godiva.
Are you guys totally into this whole new textured polish trend? I don't really know how I really feel about it yet...
Godiva is a very pretty, gritty nude glitter. It dries fairly quickly and leaves the nails with a matte finish. I am wearing two coats for these photos.
It has the consistency of sand after it dries, but the glitter doesn't budge off of the nail.
I took these photos, and then immediately topped it off with some Seche Vite to see what it would look like:
I think that it definitely picks up the shine more with a good topcoat. Maybe I'm just old fashioned...but I think that I like my glitter with topcoat and super shiny.
This is the only Pixie Dust polish that I picked up though, and I don't see myself picking up any more in the near future. What about you? Are you digging this year's nail trend?

Hello dolls. Here is a mani that I did with the Butter London polish that I had shown you here.
This was free handed, with Rimmel's Lasting Finish Pro polish in Pink Bliss as the pinky base.
I will have to swatch Pink Bliss by itself, but it is a pale pink crelly, perfect for french tip manicures.
I used two coats of The Black Knight to get the opacity that I wanted for the tips. This polish was easy to work with and the small brush made getting into corners easy. I also liked the subtle flash of glitter instead of just a straight up black tip.

Hi dolls. I picked up one of the new polishes from the Hard Candy line at Walmart. The one I chose was Gummy Green, a mint green jelly polish with black and white circle glitter.
It gives you the look of a jelly sandwich without all of the layering. I did use three coats to achieve this opacity, and topped it off with one coat of Seche Vite.
The packaging of the new polishes did change, and no longer sport the plastic heart shaped ring on top. Now it is a simple round bottle with a black lid on top and a sticker stating the name of the polish. I can say I do appreciate the new slimmer, sleeker design, but it does make seeing the color a bit harder depending on how you store your polishes.
The formula was fine, not too gummy and not too sheer. There wasn't anything special about the brush too, not something to write home about, but definitely workable. I didn't have to go fishing for glitter in this polish and it applied smoothly and evenly for me.
I saw swatches of more of the line on another blog, and I do have in mind another color to add to my collection, but we shall see. Do you have anything from the newly revamped Hard Candy line yet?

Hello dolls. Today I am showing you one of the new glitter polishes released from Sinful Colors this Spring:
This is Fantasy, a silver based glitter with small multi-colored hex glitter. I wore three coats for these photos, topped off with Seche Vite.
My photos don't do it any justice. It is quite opaque in three coats though you could wear it as a top coat if you really wanted to. No problems with formula and no clean up required.
The small hex glitter was easy to work with and required no fishing or placing on the nails. I picked this up when Wags had their .99 cent recently. They do have other glitter polishes in this particular collection, but nothing particularly interesting or must-have for me.

Hi dolls. Today I am showing you a new color from Sinful Colors, this one in Mesmerize.
Mesmerize is a beautiful, deep, eggplant creme. Purple is one of my favorite colors, so I couldn't pass this one up. I am wearing two coats for these photos, topped off with one coat of Seche Vite.
On my pointer finger, I did a couple coats of OPI's new glitter from the Spring Euro collection, in Polka.com. This is a fun glitter, and so girly! It matched Mesmerize perfectly. I do think that a glitter jelly sandwich is due though to showcase it better.
I'm really liking most of the new colors from Sinful Colors this Spring. I picked up a bunch from the last .99 sale, so more swatches coming soon!
