Freeman's Peel Off Cucumber Mask

Hi dolls.  Today I wanted to show you the Freeman's Cucumber Peel off Mask.  I picked this up from Walgreens for under $5, and have been using it for a couple of weeks now, so I wanted to share my thoughts with you on it.
First, here is what it claims and the directions for use:
I was pretty excited when I read that in the store.  Peel off masks are so cool-or am I the only one who thinks that?  This comes in a squeeze tube and the flip top cap which makes it easy to dispense and store.

Anyways, here is what it looks like when it comes out of the tube:
It's clear and very sticky.  You have to work quickly to spread this on your face, because it does dry rather quickly if you spread it too thin on your face.  Of course, you want to avoid your hair line and brows.   The consistency is pretty much like glue, and it's like you're spreading glue all over your face.  Other than that, I'm not sure how else to describe it.

It does have the cucumber scent to it, but I am not bothered by it.  If you really don't like cucumbers, then I suggest you not use this product.  I love cucumbers, and the artificial smell associated with them sometimes.

Anyways, you let it dry on your face and then when it's dry, you just go ahead and peel off!  I couldn't get mine to peel off in one big piece but here is what it looks like after you do peel it off.
I do wash my face with some warm water afterwards just to make sure that I don't have any extra product on still.  It doesn't dry me out, but it doesn't do anything really that I can see for my pores either.

I honestly wish that this were a tad thicker, or creamier.  I feel like it just doesn't do it enough for me and my oily skin.
The peeling off part is pretty cool though, so I will continue to use it because I just don't like to let things sit-especially if I spent good money on it.

If I change my mind, I will let you know..but for me this product is kind of meh in my humble opinion.

Have you tried anything from Freeman's?  I have their avocado mask as well, so I will be reviewing that too shortly.  Let me know your thoughts!

xoxo

  1. I usually like this brand and their mud masks much better than their peel off masks but the cucumber sounds like it smells amazing!(:

  2. I love Freemans! Haven't used them in years because their products seem to have just gotten to be too expensive for me. This one always was a bit of a pain to remove, and gotta agree that the mud masks are more fun. I did purchase the cucumber mask several times though, years ago :)
