Essence-Renesmee Red Blush

Hello dolls.  How are all of you today?  Here is a new blush that I picked up from Ulta this month:

I wouldn't consider myself a Twi-hard fan, but I have read all of the books and seen all of the movies, save for this latest one.  So when I saw that Essence had a line of makeup products inspired by the latest movie, I had to pick up the blush.  The other products were things that I would never wear-like a gold lipstick, super glittery high lighter?  Um, no thanks.

This is a bright, bright blush in the pan.  I almost put it back, but I don't have anything like this in my collection and with the tiny price tag, I thought I would give it a try.  This is my first blush from Essence.  I have only tried their polishes before and nothing else from the line.  (The lipsticks keep calling my name though each time I walk by the display, begging me to take them home.)

Most of my blushes are really subdued-pinks and corals.  I don't like to wear loud blush because I like to save color for my lips instead.

But, with a very light hand and some patience, I guess I can be adventurous.  Below is a swatch of the blush, done on my arm with no primer underneath. 

What do you think about this color? And this brand overall?
