Golden Eyes- Colors from the Naked2 and Lorac Pro Palettes

Hi dolls.  Today, I wanted to share with you this eye shadow look:

I wanted gold on the lids today, so I took out my Lorac Pro palette and my Naked2 to create this look.

The colors I used were:
Half Baked from Naked2-all over lid color
Taupe from Lorac Pro-crease and outer v
Busted from Naked2- deepen outer v color
Cream from Lorac Pro-highlight color

I used a bit of Mac's Fix Plus to make Half Baked more vibrant on the lid.  The gel liner is from Wet 'n Wild's Fergie line, and the lashes are from Sonia Kashuk.

I've been doing the waterproof liners if I'm wearing falsies because I notice that my eyes have been weeping a lot when I wear them and my go to Wet 'n Wild liner just does not hold up when it comes to tears.

Vintage & Tribal Nails

Hello dolls.  I posted these nails on my Pieces of Me post earlier this week, but forgot to take pictures of this mani with my camera, so Instagram photos will have to do for this post.
For the base, I used Sally Hansen's Peachy Keen, from the Complete Salon Manicure line.  The silver color is also from Sally Hansen but from their Xtreme Wear line in Celeb City.  The glitter is my all time favorite, Color Club's Platinum.
All of the nail art was done with acrylic paints bought from Michael's craft store, dotting tools and thin paint brushes also bought from Michael's.

I loved this mani, and really liked how the black popped against the nude backdrop.  :)

Naked2-Shimmery Eyes

Hi dolls.  Here is the eye look that I sported yesterday.  This eye look was created using only the Naked2 palette.

The colors that I used were as follows:

Verve in the inner corner
Suspect center of lid
Tease in outer corner
Busted to deepen outer V color
Foxy as highlight

And here is a warmer toned picture with the same look:
The lashes are from Sonia Kashuk, and I have been loving these lately.  These aren't as dramatic as the Full Glam lashes, but they are still very pretty and more natural looking for everyday wear.

The liner is Elf's waterproof liner in black and then I went over that liner with my gel liner from Wet n Wild Fergie line.

I loved how bright and wide awake I looked while wearing it yesterday.  It was a nice change up because I had been really into the matte eyes look all of July.

Do you still reach for your Naked2 palette as often?

xoxo

Maybelline-Instant Age Rewind Concealer

Hi dolls.  This is a product that a lot of beauty gurus have been raving about for the past year or so, and for good reason.  I had to go out and buy it to try for myself to see what all of the hype was about.
I picked up the color Light because I wanted to use it as a highlighting product under my eyes, along the bridge of my nose, forehead and chin.

I like the packaging, as the little sponge tip on top applies the product quite nicely.  I don't use it to smooth and blend the concealer on though, as I find that my fingers are better for that.

It is a twist up tube, and it does take several clicks for the product to start to come up, so be patient.
Once the product appears at the top, it distributes quite evenly all over the sponge tip so you are able to cover quite a bit of area in just a couple of swipes.

The concealer itself is buildable, and it dries quickly to a nice matte finish.  I always set my concealer with a powder, and this does settle into the crease under my eyes, but then again, all concealers that I have tried have done that to me.
I like this product a lot for highlighting, and it does a nice job of brightening up my face without being too over the top.  For my under eyes, I have been using my L'Oreal concealer first to conceal any discoloration and then going over on top with this Maybelline one.  I have been using this consistently for over a month now, and have not experienced any problems with it.

I can see why so many people like it, and I have to say the same.  The price point is not too bad, I do believe it was under $10 at Ulta, where I purchased mine.

If you are looking for a highlighting concealer from the drugstore, I recommend that you try this one.  I, for one, am smitten with it!

Lorac-Matte Eyes

Hello dolls.  Here is an eye look that I have been doing over and over again this last month:
This look was created using only the Lorac Pro palette.  Yes, I am still in love with it!  This time though, I am only using the matte colors from the palette.
I have Cream as the all over lid color, and then buffed into the outer v is Taupe and Sable.  I have been loving Taupe, and have made quite a dent in it already.  I'm sure to hit pan soon on that color.

Sometimes, I will add Espresso into the outer v as well to deepen it if I'm going for a more dramatic look.

I have been obsessed with matte eye looks lately, and have been alternating between this palette and my Naked Basics palette for those eye looks.

I will have photos of the Naked Basics look up soon and a post as well.

The lashes are from Elf, the $1 lashes.  I have been obsessed with these lashes too.  I never though to try them until I found a pair in my stash.  After I tried them, I was hooked.  I probably went out and bought five more pairs.   The only thing is that you have to select a nice pair because sometimes they can come out a bit wonky in the process.
I'm off to Wisconsin Dells tomorrow with my little family, so I don't know if I will be able to sit down and write a post tomorrow.  Maybe if I'm not too tired I can shoot one out.  :)

July-Running on Empty

Hi dolls.  Here is July's Running on Empty post:
I had gone through 12 items this month, two of which were travel sized.  Let's get started right away!

 Garnier Fructis Shampoo and Conditioner
(Travel sized)
I used these up when I was up in Michigan last week.   These were a little bit bigger than the regular travel sized shampoos so they lasted quite a while.

Repurchase?  I got these at the Dollar Tree a while ago, and I haven't seem them since so I can't repurchase even if I wanted to.

Epielle Face Mask
I got a bunch of these from Big Lots last time and I haven't been using them.  I pulled out one of them this month to treat myself.  If you are familiar with the Japanese face masks, this is just like that.  I leave it on for about half an hour and then take it off.
Repurchase?  I can't find them anymore at Big Lots but if they pop up again, I would.  They were only .60 cents.

EOS Shaving Cream
I am not a fan of this brand, but I had bought two of them and needed to use them up.  I went through this one surprisingly fast.

Repurchase?  I can definitely say though, that I am not going to repurchase this.

Bootz No.7 Cleansing Milk
I bought this from Target last year and it's been sitting by my sink ever since.  At first, I was only using this in the mornings, but then I stopped for a while.  Then, I started using it at night as a makeup remover, and I loved it!  I would just put this on and use my finger s to rub it into my skin, and go gently over my eyes to remove eye makeup, then take everything off with a makeup wipe.

This method has worked so much better for me, and it really gets the makeup off.  I then wash my face in the shower, and then follow up with a toner, and I can tell that my face feels a lot cleaner because the toner pad that I use comes back so much cleaner.

Repurchase?  Target doesn't carry this anymore but I have been substituting a Pond's cream instead, and it works the same.

Biore Pore Cleansing Strips
These are the best.  I use them about once every two weeks to get the gunk out.

Repurchase?
Yes.

Ulta Passionberry Vanilla Shower Gel
This was a freebie from Ulta a while ago, and I'm glad that I didn't spend money for it.  The smell is just okay and it lathers okay but it's not something that I was crazy about.

Repurchase?  No.

BBW Black Raspberry Vanilla Lotion
This smells so good, and I got it on clearance last season.  I actually bought two of these, one of which I kept at school.  I love the lotions in the tubes because they are so much more moisturizing than the ones in the bottles.

Repurchase?  I would definitley get another lotion from them.

BBW Fresh Picked Cherries Foaming Soap
This also smells so good-and I love how it lasts a long time even though it's a foaming soap.  I have another one of these on backup, and other scents in my stash too.

Repurchase?  Yes.

Secret Scent Expressions Passionista Fruit Deodorant
This is my favorite deodorant from Secret.  It's a gel formula so it feels weird going on, but I like how it doesn't leave marks on your clothes.

Repurchase?  Yes, I already have, but I also have a Dove one that I am currently using right now that I also seem to like.

L'Oreal Magic Perfecting Base Primer
I was skeptical about this primer at first, but I ended up really liking it.  I even went out and bought another one already.

The only thing that I don't like about it is that jar.  I don't like to have to dig in there with my fingers.  If it came in a tube, that would rock my world.  It's also kind of expensive for a drugstore brand.  This was around $11 if I'm not mistaken.
Repurchase?  Yes.

Seche Vite
My HG top coat.  I use every last drop because it's expensive.  It can thicken up on you as you use it, but I just drop in a couple drops of polish thinner and shake it up and it helps.

Repurchase?  Yup.

That's all that I ran out of in July.  Sad that it's already August!  Only one more month before it's back to school time.  :/

xoxo
