China Glaze-Lubu Heels

Hi dolls.  Here is what I am wearing today on my nails:
This is from China Glaze, in Lubu Heels.  I had to, had to get this polish.  I love shoes, and Louboutins are like, the ultimate in shoe porn.
GahHhh!  I mean, look at them!  *DroolMy dream is to own several pairs of these babies one day.  And I probably won't even wear them.  I will just look at themEveryday.  And pet them.  lol.

But since my wallet doesn't think that I need these babies yet, I had to settle for the polish.  And boy, what a pretty polish!  It is a blackened base with tiny red glitter to echo the infamous red sole.
The base is extremely sheer, so I choose to wear 'underwear' before putting it on.  I am just wearing two coats of a black creme and two coats of Lubu Heels.
I love how it just positively glows on the nails.  Such a beauty.  Do you own this polish?

Wet 'n Wild Megalast Lipsticks

Hi dolls.  Here is my little collection of the Wet 'n Wild Megalast lipsticks.  These are just $1.99 from the drugstores and come in quite a range of colors and finishes.
Some of these are matte lipsticks, which means that they can be drying on the lipsI notice that this is true especially for the lighter colors, numbers 902C and 903C are extremely hard for me to wear if I don't exfoliate first and add a gloss on top-which kind of defeats the purpose of being a matte lipstick.

The darker colors though, are very pretty and are good quality lipsticks for what they're worth.  The darker colors are more creme finishes and will also stain your lips, leaving behind a wash of color as the color diminishes.
 Swatches on lips:
These were all swatched straight from the tube, with no liner or primer underneath.   I had a really hard time photographing Doll House Pink, #967, and had to fiddle around with different lighting and my other camera to get a decent photo.

903C and 967 required careful application because they were so milky.  I had to blot and reapply before photographing for you.  Also, 911D and 918D appear and apply more glossy.  Some people say that 911D is a dupe for Mac's Ruby Woo, but I don't think that it is.  It's too glossy, and I think the red blooms too much to be considered a dupe.  I can swatch them side by side though for you guys if you are interested.
My immediate favorite colors are 918D and 908C, the darker vampy colorsI can't wait to rock these on a night out.  Also, some people say that 908C is a dupe for Mac's Rebel too, but I don't have that color so I can't say for sure.  My least favorite is Doll House Pink, #967 because I just don't think it looks right on my skin.

I don't like the rounded applicator though on these lipsticks because they make getting into the corners of your mouth and cupid's bow tricky when applying.  Going slow and steady is key when applying straight from the tube, especially because some of the colors are prone to skipping across the skin because of the fact that the formula is really dry.  Of course, you could also break out a lip brush, but who has time for that?  Another thing that I don't like is that there aren't names for all of these lipsticks.  Most of them are just numbers.

Overall, I do recommend these lipsticks if you are looking for a deal.  These have great pigmentation, are easy to get and cheap!  What do you think?  Do you own any of these lipsticks?

OPI-Mariah Carey Liquid Sand Polish in Get Your Number

Hi dolls.  Here is what I am wearing on my nails today:
This is from OPI's Mariah Carey collection, in the Liquid Sand line.  These are formulated to be a gritty kind of glitter, meant to be worn without a topcoat.

I am wearing Get Your Number, a blue based polish with holo glitter mixed in.  The polish is a bit sheer, which meant I had to do three to four coats to achieve this kind of opacity.
I only got Get Your Number because I wasn't sure if I would like the texture on these polishes.  And the other three polishes weren't really calling my name anyways.

I let it dry for about 10 minutes before deciding to slap on some topcoat.  I don't like gritty nails.
I like this much better when I put topcoat on.  The holo glitter shows up better I think, and it sparkles so much more.  Glitter is meant to sparkle, right?  I think so.

I don't think that I will be going back for any more of the liquid sand polishes from this line.  They just aren't my cup of tea.  I am eyeing up the pink shimmery polish though-I think it's called A Butterfly Moment.  I also picked up the pink glitter polish, Pink Yet Lavender.

What do you think of the liquid sand polishes?  Are you on board?

Layla Nail Polish-Rudolph

Hi dolls.  I am super excited to show you what I put on my nails today:
Isn't it lovely?  I got this polish on clearance at Ulta for $7.  Red-and FLAKIES?  Yes sir, you are coming home with meThere was actually a purple bottle too, but that was a tester and they wouldn't sell it to me.  :(
This is from Layla Nail Polishes, in Rudolph.  The flakies flash from orange to yellow to red.  Like Rudolph's nose, get it? Beautiful!

I did wear 'underwear' though, just because I wanted to save on this pretty polish.   I am wearing two coats of Orly's Ruby underneath and one coat of Rudolph on top.
Are you over the flakie trend yet?  I thought that I was, until I ran across this beauty.  :)

What's In My Traincase?

Hi dolls.  Today, school was canceled due to freezing, below zero temps.  That meant, I had some extra time and decided to do a What's in my... post today.  I decided to feature my train case today, just because I had used it to pack up all of my makeup for my long weekend in MN earlier this month, and just never transitioned back into my old daily makeup storage.
I bought this train case from KMart, from the brand Caboodles.  I know that you can find these pretty much anywhere though and in many kinds of prints.  The other day, I found one at Ulta in leopard print!
This train case is made from black leather and has white stitch trimming.  It is very sturdy and made very well.  It has two snap closures on top and a handle that makes portability easy.  When it has makeup in it, it is actually pretty heavy.  I like how sturdy it is though because that means my makeup is safe!

Here, it what it looks like when I open it up. The top folds away, and there are trays nestled in.  These trays fold out and away, with two more trays on the bottom, and a larger storage area on the very bottom.
I can fit a lot inside of it and it holds all of my necessities, plus more!  I listed everything in each of the trays, and painstakingly linked back to my blog on each product if I had reviewed it or talked about itYou'rewelcomeverymuch.  :)

Here is the first tray, on the left hand side of the case:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Visine

Second tray, left hand side:
(w/Rice Paper, Patina, Sable and Club)
MAC shadow single in Show Stopper
CoverGirl shadow single in Tapestry Taupe
Wet 'n Wild shadow singles in Nutty and Creme Brulee
Prestige brow liner in Earth Brown
Wet 'n Wild pencil sharpener
Tweezers

 Third Tray, left hand side:
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze and Tough as Taupe
Duo Dark Tone lash glue
Lash Grip lash glue
Wet 'n Wild liquid liners in black & dark brown
Prestige eye liner in Brown
And now, to the other side!
Here is the top, right hand side tray:
 Hello Kitty Mirror
Victoria's Secret blush in Fresh Love
Mac Blush in Blunt
Wet 'n Wild Fergie hi-light in Rose Champagne Glow
Khroma palette in Khloe's Kardazzle
Avon heated lash curler & extra battery

Second tray, right hand side:
Wet 'n Wild Mega Glow hi-lighter in Catwalk Pink
L'Oreal Projec Runway Blush in The Queen's Blush
Essence Twilight's Breaking Dawn blush in Renesmee Red

Third tray, right hand side:
 CoverGirl lipstick in Heavenly
Elf Studio Glossy Gloss in Berry Blush
MAC lipsticks in To the Future and Angel
Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in #08
Rimmel lipstick in Airy Fairy
Urban Decay Lip Junkie gloss in Naked
NYX lip liner in Natural
Max Factor lip liner in Hipster
Elf Lip Locked -Depotted
Maybelline Color Whisper lipstick in Mocha Muse

The very bottom of the train case:
Palladio Rice Powder in Warm Beige
Sephora Mineral Powder in Tan
L'Oreal True Match Foundation in Natural Buff
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transluscent
Boxed false lashes

And that's pretty much it!  When I travel, I take my brushes with me and they all fit nicely into my Hello Kitty tin.
The bottom of the case has enough room for me to lay that tin right on top and so I have everything in one spot!

I have just been keeping all of my daily makeup in this train case.  I figured I might as well use it, because it was just sitting, unloved, in the corner of my room.  It is pretty big though, and won't fit under my bathroom sink, so I leave it right outside of my bathroom door.  When I am doing my makeup, I just pick it up before I head to the bathroom and when I'm done, I just drop it back off.  This makes it easy to see which products I have, and allows me to shop my stash more due to larger storage.

Please let me know if you have any questions on anything-I will be happy to answer them!

Meanwhile, check out my other What's In My...posts!

Love,
