Brown Eyed Girl

Hello friends.  Here is a look that I created today using my Elf neutrals eye palette.
Just a subtle brown smokey eye.  I forgot to take pictures at every step so no tutorial today.  I didn't want to bring up the color much more than that to make it more wearable for school.

I have also been practicing with the Elf eyebrow kit.  I think that I have a system in place now.  I use my Prestige brow pencil and then go over it with the eyebrow kit.
Here's what I used to create this look:
That's all folks.  ^_*

Happy Halloween!

Hey dolls!  I just got back into town and wanted to share with you what I wore for Halloween:
I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a costume this year so I just kind of put one together and figured the makeup could do the talking.

I drew leopard print spots on with my Wet 'n Wild liquid liner in dark brown and filled in the larger spots on the side of my face with Wet 'n Wild's shadow single in Nutty using Elf's $1 concealer brush.

As for my eye makeup, I just did a simple bronze eye and then drew on smaller leopard spots with the liquid liner.  (I did this to both eyes, but you can only see it well on one side of my face)  I also used the tip of the liner to make small dots to gradient into the the larger leopard spots.

The false lashes are the ones from Claire's that I blogger about here.  I also added lots of bronzer from my Physician's Formula Waikiki Strips palette under the leopard spots.

I drew in the cat nose also with the Wet 'n Wild liquid liner.  To fill in my kitty nose, I used NYX round lipstick in B52.

I just wore a gray and black leopard print dress and some insane black thigh high boots and accessorized with black cat ears.

Did you dress up this weekend or are you waiting til tomorrow?  I hope everyone had a safe Halloween weekend.

Gimme Some Glitter

Hello dolls.  Can you believe that I snagged this beauty of a bottle on clearance at the Icing for only $2.25?    This is Gimme Some Glitter.
Gimme Some Glitter is a clear base with multi-colored fine glitter particles running through it.  I see pink, gold, purple and blue, but mostly pink and gold.  It reminds me of Christmas decorations.  Christmas decorations in a bottle.
On nails:  Gimme Some Glitter from the Icing
Here I layered on two coats of Gimme Some Glitter over two coats of Sinful Colors Black on Black.  One coat of Seche Vite on top of course.
I have a backlog of glitter polishes that need swatching and I really like how glitter pops against a black base.  Besides, it is quite the hassle to take off 4 coats of glitter polish.  Two coats I can handle.  Even better with a creme base.

Don't get me wrong, this color can be worn alone as well.  It is quite opaque in just one coat because the glitter is so fine.

Can't stop looking at my nails now.  ^_^

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Pro-Sunset Orange

Hello loves.  Here is my current mani:
Nabbed this at Walgreens for just $1.19 after clearance price and $1 off coupon.

Sunset Orange is a gorgeous coral jelly.  This is three coats and topped with Seche Vite.

On that note, my Seche Vite is getting incredibly thick and gloopy, which I think contributes a lot to tip pull on the nail color.  What kind of nail polish thinner do you like to use and how much should I put in my bottle to thin it up a bit?  (I have a third of the bottle left.)

Revlon Colorburst Lipglosses-Strawberry & Fire

Hello loves.  Here are two new lipglosses from Revlon that I picked up recently.  I got these two glosses from Wags when they had the 40% off Revlon products earlier this month.  I also had two tear-off coupons that gave me an extra $2 off each gloss, so I got both of these for next to nothing.

 Here are swatches of each:
Swatch:  Strawberry & Fire
 Swatch: Fire
 Swatch: Strawberry
Strawberry has tons of glitter in it which will adhere to your lips even after the gloss is gone.  Kind of annoying.

My favorite is Fire out of these two.  It is a creme based gloss and has no glitter.  It would look awesome over some red lipstick.  It is very sheer by itself though.  I had to do two layers for the swatch on my lips.

See the other two glosses that I got last time here.  Did you take advantage of the 40% off sale?  Let me know what you got. ^_*

Wet 'n Wild-Cougar Attack

Hey friends.  Here is the second polish, Wet 'n Wild's Cougar Attack, which Lisa sent me:
This is two coats of Cougar Attack.  Small orange glitter particles in a dark brown jelly.  No problems with this polish.  I could have gone with more coats but decided against it.  With this colder weather I find that I have to moisturize my hands so much more.  Add cold weather to acetone =  havoc on my cuticles.

Pretty right?  Thank you again to Lisa for her generosity.

L'Oreal Project Runway Lipsticks

Hey friends.  I ended up going back for the Project Runway lipsticks, even though I told myself that I didn't need them.  The bright fuchsia lipstick had my name all over it.  What can I say?  I'm a lipstick junkie. ^_*
L'Oreal Project Runway Lipsticks in Sultry Raven's Pout and Audacious Amazon's Pout
L'Oreal Project Runway Lipsticks in Sultry Raven's Pout
L'Oreal Project Runway Lipsticks in Audacious Amazon's Pout
These are packaged like the celebrity endorsed lipsticks from L'Oreal's line, black with silver trim.  The Project Runway logo is on the front of the tube in silver.  No angel wings like the blushes have, which is kind of disappointing.

The bullet does twist all the way down into the tube, so there is no risk of nicks.  I find the consistency very creamy and easy to use.  It glides easily against your lips with no pulling or tugging.

I went back to Walgreens to see if they had anymore this week, but the display was already taken down.  Doesn't surprise me either, because by the time I got there to pick up these, it was very picked over already.

Here are swatches of both the colors that I got.
Audacious Amazon's Pout & Sultry Raven's Pout
 Audacious Amazon's Pout
Sultry Raven's Pout
Audacious Amazon's Pout has more blue undertones, which is what I like for my skin tone.  Love it.  I was thinking of doing a swatch comparison with the other colors that I have in my collection to see if there is a possible dupe to this lipstick.  Let me know if you would be interested.

Sultry Raven's Pout is a nice pinky-nude color.  I have heard that Fairest Nude in L'Oreal's permanent collection is a nice dupe for this, but I don't have this color so I can't say for sure.  But that does give me a reason to pick up Fairest Nude though. lol.

So, what do you think?  Did you manage to snag any of these limited edition lipsticks or anything else from the collection?

Revlon ColorBurst Lipsticks- Cherry Ice & Soft Rose

Hey everyone.  I went to Walgreens this last week and found some Revlon ColorBurst lipsticks on clearance!  These were marked down to just $4 and some change, so I snagged two of them.  Then, I found out that the Revlon buy one get one half off deal applied to the clearance prices as well!  Sweet!  I picked out Soft Rose and Cherry Ice.

I have already reviewed these lipsticks here so I'm not going to say much about them.

Here are swatches of each color I got:

Cherry Ice is actually very sheer, so don't let the red intimidate you.  It has gold glitter running through it, which can leave your lips grainy.  The glitter in the bullet can get engrained in the slant-tip and that makes application grainy as well.  If that is bothersome to you, I would not recommend this lipstick then.
Maybe fun for the holidays though with all of the glitter particles?  What do you think?

And Soft Rose is just another pinky-mauve color that I like.  These are a great alternative to nudes for me.

Love & great deals,
