Sinful Colors-Mesmerize

Hi dolls.  Today I am showing you a new color from Sinful Colors, this one in Mesmerize.
Mesmerize is a beautiful, deep, eggplant creme.  Purple is one of my favorite colors, so I couldn't pass this one up.  I am wearing two coats for these photos, topped off with one coat of Seche Vite.
On my pointer finger, I did a couple coats of OPI's new glitter from the Spring Euro collection, in Polka.com.  This is a fun glitter, and so girly!  It matched Mesmerize perfectly.  I do think that a glitter jelly sandwich is due though to showcase it better.
I'm really liking most of the new colors from Sinful Colors this Spring.  I picked up a bunch from the last .99 sale, so more swatches coming soon!

OPI- My Vampire is Buff

Hello dolls.  Today I am showing you one of the new Spring colors from OPI, this one in My Vampire is Buff.
My Vampire is Buff is from the Euro Centrale Collection, and should be available wherever OPI polishes are sold currently.  This is the one color that drew me in-I have been loving nudes and pastels lately.
I am wearing three coats for these photos, topped off with one coat of Seche Vite.

It looks very pretty in the bottle, but on me, it pulls too yellow and makes my fingers look dirty.  It would be a great base for nail art though.  I dunno.  I haven't really made up my mind yet on if I like it or not.  lol.

China Glaze-Igniting Love

Hi dolls.  Here is what I am showing you guys today:
This neon red polish is from China Glaze, from the Cirque de Soleil collection in Igniting Love.  I picked this color up from Sally's Beauty earlier this month when they had a buy one get one free deal.  I got this color and Surreal Appeal, but that one will be swatched at a later time.
This one is a beauty.  You guys know that I love reds anyways, so this was a no brainer.  In all honesty though, I went there in search of It's a Trap-eze! but they were all gone by the time I got there.  :(

So bright and fun.  Application was a breeze.  This is two coats for the photos, topped off with one coat of Seche Vite.
Did you find this collection noteworthyI liked how they had some indie-inspired polishes in this collection.  I'm not really a fan of the black and white glitter one though, and I still have my heart set on It's a Trapeze!

Flower Kiss Stick Velvet Lip Color-Flamingo Flower Swatches & Review

Hi dolls.  Here is a new lipstick that I picked up this month:
This is from Drew Barrymore's cosmetic line, Flower.  Flower cosmetics are available at Walmart stores.  I picked mine up for around $6.

The lipstick I picked up was from the Velvet lip color range, and I chose a bright pink for fun.
It is very pretty packaging, and has one flat side instead of  a circular lipstick tube all the way around.  It has gold detailing and the Flower logo embossed into it.  It doesn't look cheap, which is what my point is.  The only thing is that you have to line up the cap with the base in order to close it tight.
You simply twist up the product in order to apply.  I had no trouble with application.  It does not have a scent that I can detect.  There is a little swatch of color on the bottom of the tube that indicates the color of the lipstick, so this is great depending on how you store your lipsticks.
The only complaint that I have about the packaging, is that the name of the color is not actually printed anywhere on it besides the sticker-and I peeled that off.

Other than that, this formula is very creamy going upon initial application.  I tried it over a lip liner first, and that left my lips very, very matteIt really accentuated lines and cracks when it set.  I took it off and then tried it all by itself, which was much better.  I wore this out for drinks and it pretty much stayed put, but I did reapply once that night.

It dry matte once it sets- the initial creaminess does go away.  I would recommend that you exfoliate your lips prior to wearing this.
Below are photos of me wearing it:
I am looking to get more colors from this line and the High Shine line.  Have you tried anything from Flower cosmetics yet?

Rimmel London-BB Cream Swatches & Review

Hey dolls.  Today I will be reviewing the Rimmel London BB Creams for you all.  Truth be told, I have not tried a drugstore BB cream as of yet.  I do own several Asian BB creams though.
When Rimmel products were bogo half off, I decided to pick up two of their BB creams.  I got the shade light and the shade medium, just because I like to mix and match for my correct shade.

This is marketed as a 9 in 1 formula that is supposed to help prime, moisturize, conceal, cover, smooth, mattify, brighten, protect and minimize pores.
I'm a fan of products that can deliver but nine in one, especially for my oily and acne prone skinSeems too good to be true.  Anyways, this comes in a squeeze tube, with a screw on cap.  I believe there are three different shades available, light, dark and medium.

Upon swatching this product, I could tell that the light one was way to light for me and the medium one was way too orange.  Not good.  I did not detect a scent from it though, which is good because some of the Rimmel cosmetics are sometimes overly obnoxious.
But I decided to give it a chance and proceeded to blend it out.  What the... ??  I don't understand why it's so blotchy?  And why all of the unevenness?  I suspect it's from the sunscreen in it-SPF 25, that has maybe separated itself from the actual base?  I dunno.  I just knew that this was going to be much more trouble than what it's worth.
I blended these two colors together in hopes of toning down the orange, and then used a brush to smooth onto my face.  I did not like the way it looked on my skin.  It did leave a matte finish, but still felt slightly tacky upon touch.  Powder is a must.
I took pictures of me wearing it, but decided against posting them, because I just didn't like this product.  It was a hot mess on my face and it left me with a greasy t-zone in just a few hours.

Overall, this product just did not do it for me.  The bases are all wrong for me and the product did not deliver what it promised.  In the end, I ended up bringing both of these back to the drugstore and returning them.

I don't know-maybe I just got a bad batch?  I wish I could shake up the product and see how that makes it behave but I can'tHave you tried the drugstore BB creams?  Which one would you recommend?

Clear-Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy 7 Day Treatment Review

Hi dolls!  I picked up this Clear Scalp and Hair therapy treatment from Target because I had seen one of my favorite Youtube gurus, Hollyannerae, talk about it in one of her hair videos.
This is a boxed set containing seven tubes of product and retails for about $15.  You are directed to use one tube for seven days to nourish your hair back to health.  It is marketed as having Nutrium10- a mixture of vitamins and nutrients to help restore your hair's health.
You use this product much like a conditioner, except you put it onto your scalp as well as the ends.  I usually just condition the ends of my hair, so this was something that I was a tad apprehensive about when I was reading the directions because I didn't want greasy hair.
The tube is also pretty small, and I was worried that I wouldn't have enough product because I have long hair.  Let me tell you about my hair first-I have thick Asian hair that dries wavy naturally.  It gets greasy very quickly, which means I have to wash it every day.  I do style it with heat about twice a week, but my bangs get the most abuse, as I flatiron them into place almost every day.  I do put it up into ponytails and buns A LOT though and so I do get breakage and extra fall out.  Prior to this, I had not tried any other hair treatments.
To use the tube, you twist off the black part and squeeze.  It's pretty much a one shot deal if you have long hair.  If you have really short hair, you might be able to stretch out the use a little bit.

I used this product in the shower, right after I washed my hair out with shampoo.  As directed, I put this on my ends and then massaged the rest into my scalp.  The consistency of the product is nice-not too runny and not too thick.  I did have enough to use on my hair, and really squeezed out the tube to get every last drop.  I left this in my hair for about five minutes before rinsing it out.  It came out pretty easy, no complaints here.

The after effects are pretty awesome, you guys.  I usually go to sleep with my hair still damp, and so I didn't really think anything of it yet the night I first used this.

The next morning, I ran my fingers through my hair and ohmahgawsh.  It left my hair so soft!  I wanted to wake my husband up and have him feel it, but I didn't think that he would have appreciated that very much.  I was so happy with the immediate results

I have been treating my hair to this once a week since I got it and I am currently on week 4.  I use this every Sunday to help 'repair' the damage I do to my hair each week, especially since I got my hot rollers and have been using heat more often to style my hair.

Overall, I would recommend this product because of the results.  I am very happy with it and I would repurchase it again.  Have you tried Clear products before?

Always,
